:~Eh...ooops! Has anyone ever broken a punch before?!:~
Afternoon all!!
Firstly I'd like to thank the ladies that have left comments below about our cards.....I'm ashamed to say that mine has taken me 24 hours so far (on and off) to do!!! but it's nearly finished and my mother's birthday isn't until the 6th January so it's not so bad, I've still got plenty of time.
My daughter has also been tickled pink with the lovely comments about her card...so much so that I'm needing to give her a blog sign in as I can't have her leaving 'anonymous' comments all over the place!!! ;o)
So...back to the question at the top of the thread.
Has anyone ever broken a paper craft punch before?!?!? We bought a MS one just before Christmas (the butterfly cutout border one) it's gorgeous and while it was a bit stiff to begin with I thought it was just me not knowing what to do (there's a shocker!!!) Anyway...we were cutting through cardstock yesterday..NOT cardboard...and it completely cut in half...not the plastic but the metal!!!!!!! Is that normal?!?!? The shop is taking it back so no money lost but I just thought that was quite bizarre?! Has this happened to anyone else or am I abnormally strong!!! ;o)

:~Went CRAFT shopping today...now what do I do?!?!?!:~
Evening All!!!
We hope you have all had a lovely couple of days over Christmas and haven't eaten too much?!?! Sadly I have!!! I made Nigella Lawson's "Ham in Cola" for Christmas dinner (and her juicy turkey too) and Deila Smith's Squidgy chocolate cake...infact, my Christmas Eve/Christmas Day consisted of me and my (now sticky) laptop locked in the kitchen. My father thought that this was hysterical that I was cooking Christmas dinner by 'You Tube'!!!! But, I can easily say that this was THE best meal I've EVER cooked!!! The ham was mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!! Anyway, eaten too much, exercised none!!! Oooops!
Went shopping today with my hubby and the kids, we went to our local Hobbycraft, they have a small sale on. I've picked up a few items that were on clearance but not that I know what to do with them!!!!! I've taken a piccy as you can see but basically I got a few punches, some paper, and some little extra bits and bobs from the Pound shop next to it!! So.....who can guide me through the crazy world of crafting and tell me what to do now!!?!?!??!

:~More cards with Little Bessie:~
Another beautiful card from Clairebears but this time she's coloured "Little Bessie" with red hair and freckles....just the way I had imagined her in my head. We've both remarked on how much it changes the look of the card from yesterday's colouring of "Little Bessie".
Wouldn't it be lovely for Claire if some of us went to her blog for a visit. Click here to go and have a look.
I can't wait to see what she's got planned for "Charlie"

:~Look at what Clairebears has done with "Little Bessie":~
Morning all!
I just HAD to come on the blog this morning to show you all this card. It's gorgeous!!!!!! It's made by CLAIREBEARS and it's so subtly beautiful. I love brown...but as I explained to Claire on her blog this morning Santa hasn't brought me my browns yet, they're arriving on Saturday so I have coloured her in other colours but brown is how I imagined her..(although she does have shocking red hair and freckles when I close my eyes!! )
You will hear this said often on this blog..I don't craft...but when I see lovely cards I totally appreciate the thought process and effort and talent behind them all. I love a bit of bling on cards but I also love the ones that are made with very few elements but really hit the mark....Claire, I would say you've managed that.
Thank you x
