:~Went CRAFT shopping today...now what do I do?!?!?!:~

Evening All!!!

We hope you have all had a lovely couple of days over Christmas and haven't eaten too much?!?! Sadly I have!!! I made Nigella Lawson's "Ham in Cola" for Christmas dinner (and her juicy turkey too) and Deila Smith's Squidgy chocolate cake...infact, my Christmas Eve/Christmas Day consisted of me and my (now sticky) laptop locked in the kitchen. My father thought that this was hysterical that I was cooking Christmas dinner by 'You Tube'!!!! But, I can easily say that this was THE best meal I've EVER cooked!!! The ham was mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!! Anyway, eaten too much, exercised none!!! Oooops!

Went shopping today with my hubby and the kids, we went to our local Hobbycraft, they have a small sale on. I've picked up a few items that were on clearance but not that I know what to do with them!!!!! I've taken a piccy as you can see but basically I got a few punches, some paper, and some little extra bits and bobs from the Pound shop next to it!! So.....who can guide me through the crazy world of crafting and tell me what to do now!!?!?!??!

Right, where to start, I would suggest going to http://www.making-birthday-cards.com/card-sketches.html and have a look at their sketches, this is a good way to get inspiration, also if you google 'card sketches' you'll find lots of sites that offer sketches and also cards made up using the sketch, again giving lots of inspiration. Once inspired have a play, just don't expect to be DaVinci on your first attempt LOL! Also changing the subject slightly, I left a comment on one of the previous posts saying I would be really happy to have my Clara card on your blog, didn't know if you had gotten it though, if you want her, do I have to email her to you or can you just get her from my blog.
Have fun creating, and make sure you show us your first masterpiece!

Colette...so sorry I missed your post...sometimes my blog sends me instant messages sometimes it forgets!!!! Yes please, I'd love to put your cards on the site...I've...eh, 'lifted' the card from your blog, hope that's okay?!?! Just finishing uploading the tutorial to YouTube and then I'll need to get stuck into the gallery of all these wonderlicious cards you ladies have made. I'm currently pretending to make cards with my daughter although I'm more fascinated with these punch things!! I keep cutting up magazines and newspapers just to see what they look like with a scalloped edge!!!! ;oD Will go to the site you've recommended, that's brill, thank you....my daughter is on her 2nd card already!

Maybe your daughter could be your Design Team, you produce the images she makes the cards, it sounds like she's already well into it.
